#WhoKilledDianaFerguson. That’s the question that lots of new readers are asking this month as I embark upon my most ambitious marketing campaign to date. Who is Diana Ferguson? She is the murder victim in my mystery/romantic suspense novel Twenty-Five Years Ago Today. Newspaper editorial assistant Kris Langley stumbles across Diana’s murder on the microfilm and becomes obsessed with solving the 25-year-old cold case.
Since Diana is dead when the book begins, readers didn’t get to meet her in Twenty-Five Years Ago Today. Oh, they have quite a bit to say about her. I’ve attended several book club meetings and the members analyzed her and discussed her motivations at length. But, they never got to hear her dialogue firsthand.
Until now. My recent release 25 Years in the Rearview Mirror: 52 Authors Look Back, a collection of essays and fictional scenes revolving around the theme of glancing back into the past, includes a special prequel scene of Diana visiting her father’s grave on the last day of her life. Best of all, you can get 25 Years in the Rearview Mirror free from most retailers.

25 Years in The Rearview Mirror: 52 Authors Look Back is the perfect book to enjoy over your morning coffee. This collection of poignant and uplifting essays will warm your heart, raise your spirits and compel you to examine your own life. As a tie-in to my book Twenty-Five Years Ago Today, I invited my author colleagues to answer the question “What were you doing 25 years ago?” Meet Lieutenant Pink Shoes, the mysterious Red Man and a singing telegram; find out who got suspended from school, who almost missed the prom and who was the oldest campus editor; discover anecdotes of lasting romance, not-so-lasting love and raising a family; be riveted to real-life tales of a hurricane, fire and tsunami; gain insight into the writing journey of today’s top authors; and find out what makes your favorite characters tick. Including Diana Ferguson! I hope you’ll download, and please spread the word!
