Short bio:
Although Stacy Juba specializes in writing adult novels, she has also authored books for children and young adults – she pursues whatever story ideas won’t leave her alone. Stacy’s titles include the Amazon bestselling adult mystery novels Twenty-Five Years Ago Today and Sink or Swim, the mystery short story Laundry Day, the children’s picture books The Flag Keeper and Victoria Rose and the Big Bad Noise, and the young adult novels Face-Off and Dark Before Dawn. She is a former journalist with more than a dozen writing awards to her credit and is currently working on a contemporary fiction/romantic comedy novel, as well as a new mystery novel.

Award-winning writer Stacy Juba loves reading novels as much as writing them and has authored titles ideal for book clubs or the beach. Although she specializes in adult mysteries, Stacy has also written books for children and young adults – she pursues whatever story ideas won’t leave her alone.

Stacy is the author of the Amazon bestselling adult mystery/romantic suspense novels Twenty-Five Years Ago Today and Sink or Swim, the mystery short story e-book Laundry Day, the acclaimed patriotic children’s picture book, The Flag Keeper, and the children’s e-book Victoria Rose and the Big Bad Noise, and the young adult paranormal thriller Dark Before Dawn.

Stacy’s young adult novel Face-Off, about twin brothers competing on the hockey rink for their father’s approval, was published when she was 18 years old under her maiden name, Stacy Drumtra. An updated version of Face-Off is now available in e-book and paperback formats. Within the next year or two, readers can also expect publication of the sequel, Offsides.

Stacy is also one of the resident authors at Bestseller Bound, a forum started by author Darcia Helle where readers can connect with tomorrow’s breakout writers. Stacy is a past recipient of the William F. Deeck – Malice Domestic Grant for new mystery writers and is currently working on her prize-winning mystery novel Sign of the Messenger along with a contemporary fiction/romantic comedy novel. She is one of the contributors to author Susan Whitfield’s book Killer Recipes, (L&L Dreamspell) a collection of recipes from the kitchens of mystery writers, with all proceeds from the project benefiting the American Cancer Society.

Stacy has written more than 2,000 articles and won over a dozen writing awards, including recognition from the New England Press Association, Parenting Publications of America, Suburban Newspapers of America and the Stuttering Foundation of America. She is also a winner of the American Cancer Society New England Chapter’s Sword of Hope Media Award. Her feature articles have been distributed over the Associated Press New England news wire.

After years of working as a reporter, Stacy now concentrates on writing fiction and freelancing. She has produced many award-winning articles for a regional parenting magazine and her nonfiction has appeared nationally in The Writer and ByLine. Stacy is trained in Reiki, a form of hands-on healing which she practices on friends and family. When not busy with her husband and family, Stacy enjoys doing Tai Chi and reading mystery novels. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and is one of the authors with a featured article included in the organization’s newly revised marketing book for writers, Shameless Promotion for Brazen Hussies.
