BestsellerBound.com is a wonderful community of indie authors. Created by Darcia Helle in the late summer of 2010, and featuring resident authors, Maria Savva and myself, the community has grown and now boasts over 500 members. Quite a few of the members are active on the forum. The group wanted to celebrate one thing that has kept them all going over the past two years: friendship. Many friendships have been formed on the board. In fact, one of the most common things our members say is that BestsellerBound is the friendliest group of writers they have found. We pride ourselves on that!
To celebrate not only a successful two years as a popular indie writer forum, but also the friendships we have made on the board, a few of the regular members have organized a blog hop. The theme for this blog hop is of course, Friendship. If you follow the tour, you can read blogs by each of the participating authors based on the theme of friendship. Some of the authors will be writing about fictional friendships in their novels, others will be writing about real friendships. You’ll even find some excerpts about friendship from some of our books. We are sure it will be an interesting and varied blog hop.
Now for my thoughts on friendship! Writing is such a solitary business, yet thanks to the writing community at Bestseller Bound, I have been able to forge some wonderful friendships. I can’t stress enough how helpful this group of writers has been to me. We’ve teamed up on projects like this one, we have candid discussions about the publishing industry, we share opportunities with one another, we support one another on social networks like Facebook and Twitter, and most of all, we have fun and make one another laugh. If you’re a writer or a reader, you’re welcome to join our message board forum and become part of the group. Lots of friendships, networking and opportunities await you.
When I was growing up, I loved the Trixie Belden Mystery series. Girl sleuth Trixie Belden and her best friend Honey Wheeler led a club called the Bob Whites of the Glen, which also included their brothers and friends. The club members solved mysteries and had a blast riding horses and exploring the Hudson River Valley. Little did I know when I was reading those books long ago that someday I’d belong to my own Bob Whites of the Glen, only the mysteries we shed light on would be the mysteries of how to make your mark as an indie author and do what we all love – write stories. I hope you’ll fill out the Rafflecopter to enter for our big book giveaway, and hop on over to the other blogs to meet some talented writers who I am also proud to call my friends.
This is a tour-wide giveaway, so you can enter from any one of the blogs. Use the Rafflecopter form and follow the instructions for multiple entries. Each author has included a simple question as a way for you to earn bonus entries. The answers can be found within that author’s friendship blog post. You can answer all the questions on one form, or answer from the form on each author’s blog. This giveaway is open to everyone 16 and older, everywhere in the world. Enter between Monday, November 12 and midnight, EST on Monday, November 26.

I’d never heard of the Trixie Belden Mystery series. It’s interesting to look back on these seemingly small aspects of our youth and realize how much of an impact they actually had.
Great post, Stacy 🙂 I’d never heard of that mystery series either. We may have to rename BestsellerBound “Bob Whites of the Glen” LOL
I still have the entire Trixie Belden series – I will have to reread them sometime. I’m sure it will be like visiting old friends! (not as good as my Bestseller Bound friends, though!)
