Titillating Details of @AuthorTinaGayle’s Writing Style and New Release

I’m welcoming Tina Gayle to my blog today. Tina has published a number of books. As a mainstream romance novelist, she incorporates other elements in her books that include spiritual fiction, romantic suspense, and strong women fiction components.

What is your favorite part of writing?
The first draft because I don’t worry about anything but the story. I later go back and edit other elements and check grammar.

What is your least favorite part of writing?

Rewriting. I have a hard time letting go of the creative side and sticking to the nuts and bolts of the English language.

Some writers edit excessively as they write; others wait until a novel is finished to do the bulk of editing. How about you?
As I’ve described above I don’t spend a lot of time editing during the beginning of the process. I generally wait until I’m finished to do the major of my edits.

What inspired your latest release?
I started my Family Tree series after my mother died. It is about how spiritual guides direct a young girl’s life. I guess I wanted to know that my mother was still with me, watching and directing me to follow the path I needed to go.

How much time do you spend promoting your books?
I tried to spend time every day to do something that will promote one of my books. This can be very time consuming so I tried to limit it to just a few hours but I have spent days doing only promotion when I’m releasing a new book.

Other Romance titles available:

Have you had other careers before becoming a writer?
I worked in accounting for years and then got a degree in MIS. I don’t use it not except to program my website.

Were you “born to write” or did you discover your passion for writing later in life?

I discover my passion to write later in life, after having a family and starting a career.

Tell us about your hero or heroine. Give us one of his/her strengths and one of his/her weaknesses.
Heroine of Fallen Leaves – her passion to help her family, to put everything on the line and follow her heart. Biggest weakness is under estimating how her actions might affect others.

What music “soothes your soul”? Do you listen to music as you write?

I grew up listening to country music and I still enjoy listening to it in the car. I can’t listen to music when I write. I like it to be quiet so I can hear the voices of my characters in my head.

Fallen Leaves: As autumn comes to the Winston estate in Ohio, Amber Harrison learns further lessons in her new position as keeper for the spirits and ghosts who haunt the estate–and further lessons in love, too. She and her love, Carter Miller, grapple with the fears and passions of new love, while caught up in the storm of ancient family drama.

This is the second book in the unfolding saga of the psychics and talents associated with the Winston estate, a sheltered place where past, present, and future are woven into a single dramatic tapestry of love and desire. The tale spans multiple generations, multiple eras, and offers something special for all ages of reader. A sexy, erotic winner, with an assortment of couples to appeal to most tastes.
