Why did you choose the Bundt cake recipe to put in the book?
The Holiday Almond Bundt Cake is in the book because my family asks for it on most holidays. So I thought others might like it too. It not only tastes good but has all natural ingredients and it is great fun to decorate for any holiday, use sprinkles, colored frosting or make marzipan figures, angels, etc. You can be creative; use your imagination. And unlike other cakes, this one is easy to transport. So we take it wherever we need to be for any holiday, whether it is a birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or whatever.
What is the quick quote you put in the book?
Well, part of the quote is to keep a sense of humor. Life is busy, complicated, and stressful. Humor can take the sting out of many difficult situations.
Describe your kitchen.
My kitchen is large and has new dark hardwood floors, beautiful granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, including a six burner gas range. Not to mention two dishwashers, double ovens, and of course, a giant island. Oh wait. Did say you to write about my kitchen? You mean my real kitchen. : )
Well the room is big I’ll say that. And it’s the only candy pink kitchen I’ve ever seen, but there’s not a piece of wood or granite in sight. The counters are speckled black and gray fake marble. The floors and the cabinets are shiny pink laminate plastic. Someone entering the place might be hit with the urge to go out and find a cotton candy machine for the room.
It wasn’t me! The kitchen décor came that way when we got the house. So, I spend a lot of time watching HGTV and planning for the day when… But I can’t complain. It’s a big eat in kitchen and even with the electric store we have cooked many family meals with great success. I love to bake, especially with my daughter. And when the family is all at home, the kitchen is the busiest room in the house. With the kids, two barking mutts, the two cats would rather stay in the bedroom, music blaring, and the aroma of something baking in the oven, it defines family for me.
Money Power and Poison
Can love win against the odds?
Review “A mystery novel thrill ride. Fast-paced, plot-driven conflicts and characters that you can’t tear yourself away from lift it from an ordinary story to a darn good read.”
Business owner, Kathryn Carlyle, has a tremendous shock when billionaire software developer Connor Harrison drops dead at the party she’s catered. The police consider her a “person of interest.” In other words, they tell her in no uncertain terms – don’t leave town.
Reporter Holt Rand needs a scoop and Kathryn’s story could be the one to put him back on top in the TV ratings game, but when he meets Kathryn his life is changed forever. Can she trust Holt? Will she live long enough to find out?

Here are more details on Bake, Love, Write below:
What do most authors have in common, no matter what genre they write? They love desserts. Sweets sustain them through pending deadlines and take the sting out of crushing rejection letters and nasty reviews. They also often celebrate their successes—selling a book, winning a writing award, making a bestseller list, or receiving a fabulous review—with decadent indulgences. And when authors chat with each other, they often talk about their writing and their lives. Recipes. Writing. Relationships. In this cookbook 105 authors not only share their favorite recipes for fabulous cakes, pies, cookies, candy, and more, they also share the best advice they’ve ever received on love and writing.
