On the steps of the theatre stood an angel gilded in white and gold. Her hair glittered like spun silk in the morning sun, while the filmy white dress she wore made him think of all kinds of sin. “Ty. I should have guessed.”

“You don’t. You look like the same spoiled teenage brat you were the last time you stood on those stairs.”
No way in hell was he going to admit seeing her again affected him. He’d learned his lesson. Give her an inch, and she’d take a mile.
Katy smiled—a Cheshire cat kind of smile—as though she knew anyway.
