Remember Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City and her obsession with shoes? Well, somehow I have become the Carrie Bradshaw of orthotic sandals. I just published a fun post on the Glass Slipper Sisters blog relating my struggle with a foot injury and my new fixation on comfy fashionable sandals. Here is an excerpt:

Guess what, glass slippers are overrated. That may sound a little odd, considering I’m the founder of the Glass Slipper Sisters, but as someone grappling with plantar fasciitis, I’m done with fancy shoes. I’m also done with buying cute cheap shoes off the shelf.

Wearing a pair of flat sandals helped to get me into this mess. My sneakers wearing out didn’t help the situation either. After weeks of limping around feeling as if Cinderella’s mice were stabbing the ball of my foot and heel with little knives, as well as several expensive podiatrist co-pays, I will never take my feet for granted again.

Since it’s summer, I have become obsessed with finding the best flip flops to wear around the house, to the pool, and beach. I used to buy cheap ones at Wal-Mart, Payless, or AC Moore. My podiatrist sold me a pair of…
