Are You Seeking Books for Reluctant Boy Readers?

If you’re seeking books for reluctant boy readers, then I invite you to check out my brand new post on the Hockey Rivals Books Blog: 50 Exciting Books for Boys Guaranteed To Get Them Reading. You can check out the YouTube preview video above.

Nowadays, it can be challenging to get boys to read. Parents tell me that the “right” book keeps their boy riveted and wanting more novels in a similar vein, but explain that it can be hard to find the right book. I’ve tried to make that task easier by compiling 50 books for reluctant boy readers (or avid readers who are seeking more books to discover.) The novels fall into these categories: sports fiction, fantasy and science fiction, action/adventure, humor, and books about growing up.

You’ll find bestselling novels such as The Maze Runner and A Series of Unfortunate Events on the list, along with books you might not have heard of before. I found this a fascinating article to write. For example, I had no idea that John Grisham had written a series about a kid lawyer. How cool is that? And I didn’t know that Gary Paulsen had written follow-ups to his Hatchet novel.

I loved the title Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick by Joe Schreiber. I’m super excited to share this post with readers, and hope you’ll stop by to leave me a comment and tell me what books for reluctant boy readers that you would add to the list.
